3^rd Annual Walnut Valley 5K and 1K Fun Run

Saturday and Sunday events planned on March 3 and 4

The 3^rd Annual Walnut Valley Unified School District 5K and 1K Fun Run will be held on Sunday, March 4 at Diamond Bar High School beginning at 8 a.m. 

 Saturday, March 3 will also be an exciting day! 

A Wheel Food Fest featuring several popular gourmet food trucks will be held at Walnut High School – offering a delicious way to support our schools!  During this pre-race day event, participants may register, and pick up their racing bibs and t-shirts.  There will also be a student art sale and entertainment showcase featuring talented elementary, middle and high school students. 

This two-day event is sponsored by the Walnut Valley Educational Foundation (WVEF) a non-profit organization dedicated raising important funds to ensure a quality education for the children in Walnut Valley Schools.  Since 1997, WVEF has raised over a million dollars to fund grants for innovative classroom projects and scholarships for graduating seniors.

Last year over 1,850 participants including toddlers, students, parents, staff, community members, and local officials helped raise funds, one step at a time, at this fun school, family, and community event.

Proceeds have provided teacher grants for new programs, technology upgrades, sports equipment, library books, music supplies, and other important items needed in the schools.
