WHAT:           9/11 Remembrance Concert

WHERE:         School gymnasium @ 1405 S. Spruce Tree Drive, Diamond Bar

WHEN:           Monday, September 12, 2011 @ 7 p.m.  *   Free of Charge

HOW:             Media Welcome

The Chaparral Middle School Sinfonia (8th grade) Orchestra will perform a tribute concert for the thousands of people who tragically lost their lives a decade ago in the attacks of September 11. 

All current and retired law enforcement, firefighters, medical personnel, and military personnel are invited to this event. They will be honored and thanked for their dedicated service.

Musical selections will include: The Star Spangled Banner by John Stafford Smith, God Bless America by Irving Berlin, A Time for Us by Nino Rota, Honor and Glory by Soon Hee Newbold, and America the Beautiful by Samuel A. Ward.

In addition, the concert will feature two special guest performers: Scott Walton, detective with the Los Angeles Police Department and Fred McDowell, engineer with the Costa Mesa Fire Department.
