DIAMOND BAR, CA--Congratulations to the Diamond Bar High Brahma Football Team and Head Football Coach Jeff Reitz for bringing home the Branding Iron on Friday, August 23.
The traditional Branding Iron crosstown rivalry dates back to 1986.
After losing the coveted trophy to Walnut High during the past two years, the Brahmas retook it after soundly defeating the Mustangs 34-14 at the Ken Gunn Stadium.
Over the past years, the Branding Iron game has evolved to an incredible event that is more than just football, bringing students, parents, Walnut Valley Unified School District personnel, and community together.
From USB students, performing arts, parent groups, students, alumni, current and past staff members, and district personnel, it's a wonderful opportunity to build community.
The focus this year was on safety. Both Diamond Bar and Walnut High Schools did an incredible job working together as a team to ensure the safety of all participants.
