WALNUT, CA—The Walnut Valley USD Board of Trustees unanimously approved Jason Eldridge as the new Castle Rock Elementary principal during the January 21 meeting.
The standout school leader brings over 20 years of educational experience, all in the Corona-Norco USD, to his new post.
“Words cannot express my excitement to begin this journey with Castle Rock Elementary and Walnut Valley USD,” Eldridge commented.
“I am so thankful for this opportunity and look forward to meeting students, parents, and the Castle Rock staff!”
Eldridge has served as assistant principal at Garretson Elementary and Rosa Parks Elementary Schools for the past six years.
Prior to that, he was a student advisor at Dr. Augustine Ramirez Intermediate School and an elementary and middle school classroom teacher for 14 years.
Most recently, Eldridge received the Co-Administrator of the Year Award for the second consecutive year.
He earned a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Arizona State University and master’s degree in Educational Administration from National University.
Eldridge is married to wife, Beth, an elementary school teacher, and has two children.
He succeeds Jen Alcazer who accepted a position as director of Human Resources in the Upland Unified School District.
Retired director of Educational Services (and former Castle Rock principal) Jackie Brown has served as interim principal at Castle Rock since November.
Eldridge will begin duties on February 1.
