Suzanne Students Showcase Conservation Club and Win Environmental Scavenger Hunt
WALNUT, CA--On Saturday, March 12, ten Suzanne Middle School leadership students participated in the Los Angeles Environmental Fair held at the L.A. County Arboretum in Arcadia.
Students hosted a booth promoting the Conservation Club, sold t-shirts, and provided information, environmental games, and crafts for visitors. Suzanne was the only middle school at the event that participated in the showcase.
Five members of the Conservation Club also volunteered to vie in a rigorous Ecological Scavenger Hunt.
Using a map and compass, they explored the ecological treasures in the Arboretum and answered challenging questions about the world of nature.
With hard work and perseverance, the Suzanne team took the 1st Place Award finishing in 1 hour, 20 minutes.
Congratulations to members James Li, Kyle Ng, Adam Nguyen, Misha Stouklov, and Jason Szeto.
Conservation Club Advisors are Ramona Talampas, Steve, Cusson, Jennifer Carr, and EJ Gautreau.
