Walnut Valley USD Hosts Annual Mini-U, Bringing Over 1,300 Staff Together for a Day of Learning and Collaboration

WALNUT, CA – Over 1,300 staff members from Walnut Valley Unified School District gathered at Walnut High School on March 7 for the district’s annual Mini-U, a dedicated day of professional learning, collaboration, and growth.

The event kicked off with an energizing keynote address from speaker Kevin Bracey, inspiring educators and staff to embrace student connection and excellence in their work. Participants then engaged in more than 50 breakout sessions, selecting from a variety of professional development topics designed to enhance teaching strategies, leadership skills, and student support services. Attendees had the option to participate in either one 90-minute session or two 45-minute sessions tailored to their interests.

In addition to the enriching workshops, staff enjoyed a time of fellowship and networking over meals provided by Corner Bakery and The Habit food trucks, fostering a sense of community among educators and district employees.

WVUSD extends its gratitude to the presenters, organizers, and staff who made this event possible. Their hard work and dedication ensure that learning never stops in Walnut Valley Unified.
