Collegewood Elementary’s Tina Moffa Named District Teacher of the Year

Walnut, CA – Collegewood Elementary School third-grade teacher Ms. Tina Moffa has been named the Walnut Valley Unified School District’s 2025 Teacher of the Year. Ms. Moffa was honored with a surprise visit from Superintendent Dr. Taylor, School Board members, and District representatives, who celebrated this remarkable achievement alongside her students.

Ms. Moffa has dedicated 26 years to education, with the last six years spent at Collegewood Elementary. Her passion for teaching and unwavering commitment to student success have made a lasting impact on her students, colleagues, and the entire school community.

“Ms. Moffa’s intentional approach to connecting with families is commendable,” said Collegewood Elementary Principal Mrs. Wolf. “Tina is mindful of the diverse needs within her classroom and ensures that families have the resources and support necessary to help their children succeed.”

Ms. Moffa is known for her innovative teaching methods, engaging lessons, and ability to inspire young learners. Her dedication to fostering a love for education goes beyond the classroom, as she continuously seeks opportunities to support students and families.
