The Walnut Valley Unified School district will soon begin registration for the 2013-2014 school year for children entering kindergarten through fifth grade.

Registration dates are:

January 21-January 25, 2013 – for those children with siblings already attending school in our district;

January 28, 2013 & on – for those children new to the district, at any grade level.

Students must be 5 years old on or before October 1st to enroll in kindergarten for the 2013-2014 school year. 

You may register for transitional kindergarten if a child's birthday falls on  October 2 through December 2nd.  (Children with birthdays on September 2nd through October 1 have the option of enrolling in Transitional Kindergarten or Kindergarten.)

At the time of registration, parents will be asked to present a certified copy of the child’s birth certificate or passport, and proof of the child’s immunizations. 

For residency verification, parents will also need to provide either final escrow papers, mortgage statement or lease/rental agreement, along with a current utility bill (gas, water or electric bill) and a driver’s license (or California I.D.) with current home address. 

Enrollment is on-going, and your residence address determines the elementary school where you should enroll your child.
