Quail Summit Students Win Digital Math Contest


DIAMOND BAR, CA--Quail Summit Elementary students competed against 107 other California schools in grades 1-8 and placed 4th in the Sumdog President’s Day State contest overall.

On one of the days, Quail Summit took the 1st Place Award and won a site license for the Yenka Mathematics software program.

Four Quail Summit students placed in the top 10 in the state by answering the most questions correctly. They were: 4th place - Kevin Hsieh – 55,358, 5th place – Cindy Weng – 46,615, and 6th place – Stephanie Shen – 43,282.

Sumdog is a digital math learning website that covers State standards and Common Core State Standards with over 122 numeracy topics to improve mental math fluency. The topics are spread across 10 levels in increasing difficulty.
