Young Artists Honored By Walnut Valley Board
 
WALNUT, CA—Forty young artists were recognized by the Walnut Valley Unified School District Board of Trustees for their award-winning entries in the 2012 “Draw a Cover for Music K-8 Magazine” contest.

Music Specialist Judy Brunelle announced the winners who were presented with Certificates of Recognition from the Board of Trustees.  The top winners also received copies of their artwork featured on the music magazine website.

Congratulations to the following students:

Top Winners: 2nd Runner Up – Allyson Lee (Quail Summit), 3rd Runner-Up – Karen Liu (Westhoff), 8th Runner-Up Megan Young (Maple Hill) , and Promising Young Artist Hannah Chu (Castle Rock).

Top Finalists: Athena Tang (Westhoff), Sonia Park(Evergreen), Ian Wong (Quail Summit), Rachel Wang (Maple Hill), Louisa Guo (Collegewood), WooJin Jeong (Evergreen), Kaitlyn Choi (Vejar), Allen Chun (Westhoff), Samantha Hong (Evergreen), Anna Saito (Vejar).

Finalists: Amy Lo (Westhoff), Tristen Baca (Castle Rock), Canny Huang (C.J. Morris), Oscar Chou (Westhoff), Kayla Widjaja (Westhoff), Christian Chang (Collegewood), Darren Wang (Vejar), Carmella Pacillas (Evergreen), Janice Kwon (Quail Summit), Sky Shin (C.J.
