Evergreen Thanks Staff With Lucille’s BBQ Luncheon
DIAMOND BAR, CA--Evergreen Elementary School’s Community Club hosted a luncheon with a little southern hospitality on May 8 in honor of Teacher Appreciation Week.
“We wanted to show the teachers how much we appreciate them and Lucille’s gave us an opportunity to provide that experience at a reasonable price,” said Community Club President Joanna Flores.
The parent organization didn’t just honor the school’s teachers; they invited every staff member to the special event.
“We wanted to tell our whole staff how much we appreciate them. This school couldn’t run without every person on this campus,” Flores added.
About 70 Evergreen staff members were served a delicious luncheon catered by Lucille’s Smokehouse Bar-B-Que in Chino Hills.
The staff break room was decorated with country-style red and white checked tablecloths as Lucille’s staff members served up a delicious meal that was finger-lickin’ good!
“This is the best day of my life - I love Lucille’s,” exclaimed Elementary P.E. teacher Geri Burrows.
Each luncheon guest received a plate filled with barbecue chicken, tri-tip, and hot link sausage, corn bread, mashed potatoes, homemade biscuits with honey butter, fresh fruit and banana pudding for dessert.
