Evergreen Helps Hurricane Sandy Relief
Evergreen Elementary School Student Council spearheaded a campaign to help Hurricane Sandy victims. They arrived early, made posters, and manned a collection table before school for donations for a few weeks. They enthusiastically greeted students and parents in the mornings and with their passion, they raised $620 for the American Red Cross. Advisors and fourth grade teachers Lily Chang and Shelby Coomber assisted students in the drive.
“This is just one more example of the caring, compassionate and proactive students and staff we have here at Evergreen,” said Principal Carolyn Wills.
